The attached report seems to be using the Bain report from 2012-13 which is quite outdated regarding the timing of the supply/demand crossover that is likely to be pushed out by up to a decade.
Getting accurate data on specific components of the market is quite difficult as very few producers provide this data.
There is some evidence that even the larger stone segment of the market is sluggish due to the increased number of producers and a limited market.
Lucara just annouced they produced 10 +100ct stones for the quarter.
3ct white polished is down around 15% since this time last year.
