As I have mentioned a couple of times on here, I work in the media industry and have some experience with the new CEO Pippa Leary when she worked at Nine (one of the reasons I am excited about his new chapter for the business).
Whilst we are waiting for her to officially address the market in her new role at Swift, they are clearly making some moves. Internally, many media agencies sign up to a network called Media I who run B2B screen advertising within the office. On our floor alone here in Melbourne we have at least 6 screens serving the staff.
This week I am noticed a new advertiser on there....our very own Swift Networks, advertising the Health Network specifically, and also the Network as a whole. Straight to the source (ie media agencies who make the bookings and recommendations to clients).
Based on this, I can see that Pippa may be following a media publisher strategy to attract revenue to that pillar of the business. Leverage her relations with senior media officials (which is how many deals are done in this industry), and improve the profile of the business to advertisers.
Looking forwards to the final audited numbers - I thikn we will have a great 12 months
