Morning star does not have PET valued at $1.00.

I am really surprised that Morning Star do this. They purport to be a legitimate analysis provider and then they play this sort of game that (at least to me) degrades their credentials and credibility.

Morning star premium does not cover this stock. Morning Star Quantitative is an insult to their name. It is a free service that I presume is supposed to lure people into their premium paid service but for me all it does is sully their name and warn me off. Morning star quantitative is not an analysis of any kind. It is a trailing indicator a bit like a moving average. If a stock is higher than its recent historical price (in an up trend) it is over priced. If it is lower than its recent historical price (in a down trend or stagnating) it is undervalued and therefore a buy.

From a legal and moral standpoint I do not understand why this kind of thing is allowed be passed off as research, analysis or any kind of market information at all. The unsuspecting public see a name like Morning Star on some "analysis" and give it a degree of credibility, allowing it to form part of their investment decision process when their isn't a skerrick of research behind the recommendation.

From Morning Star's standpoint I don't see why they are prepared to sully their name with this kind of "non research" Surely it only does them harm.
