there was bank covenant based on market capitalisation on this stock
this meant that instead hard assets a lot depended on market sentiment.
Journos like Allen Kohler, Michael West and Stephen Mayne created a lot of parnoia over this stock and would have forced a lot of Mum and Pop shareholders to drop their bundle and sell.
In the end, banks lifted the shareholder cap covenant.
So all this paranoia was for nothing and people probably lost a fortune.
I wonder if anyone who lost as result of these journos irresponsible writing would like to take action against these guys.
I think it could be done through the Australian Shareholders Association.
