So to put some clarity in my posts. When I talk about 64 MWh I am inferring MWh sent arising from the installed 64MW capacity on a per hour basis.
Anyway, 64 MW capacity at a 90% load factor capacity operating all year round equates to 504,576 megwatt hours (MWh) sent per year (i.e. 64 * 8760 hours *90%) (equivalent to 57.6 megawatts sent per hour from a 64 MW power station). For avoidance of doubt, based on the Nemaska study, a 9MW power station (i.e 70,956 MWh sent per year at 90% load factor ) this fuels the production of around 215,022 tonne per year - page 35 and table 18.2 on page 286

Or in other words, each tonne of 6% grade spodumene requires 0.33 MWh of electricity sent. Or another way to put it AVZ's 64 MW power station can provide enough electricity for roughly 1.5 mtpa of 6% grade spodumene.
Now the Nemaska overall power station is stated to be 59 MW, page 289 of above link, so the remaining 50 MW is intended to convert the spodumene produced to 11,500 tonnes of lithium carbontae and 24,500 of lithium hydroxide monohydrate (page 35). (Note you need 7.5 tonne of 6% grade spodumene to produce 1 tonne carbonate and 6.5 tonnes of 6% grade spodumen to produce 1 tonne lithium hydroxide monohydrate - refer Post #:

From my estimates in the embedded post - Post #:
34114641 - it requires 14 MWh of electricity sent to produce 1 tonne of hydroxide - using the Kemerton example, or in effect roughly 11.3 MWh sent using Nemaska to produce hydroxide/carbonate (given 50 MW spare capacity in Nemaska power station after producing the spodumene).
Or another way to put it, if AVZ has a 2mtpa ore feed facility it will produce 425,000 tonnes of 6% grade spodumene at a 80% recovery rate with Li20 grade of the input ore at 1.6%, this translates to a power station configuration hypothetically of 18MW (i.e. 425,000/215022 * 9MW) using the Nemaska example.
That leaves 46 MW (64 - 18), or 362,700 MWH sent spare capacity yearly. That is not enough power to convert the spodumene tonnes produced by AVZ to hydroxide from the 2 mtpa ore feed facility. At best the 64 MW facility at best IMO can produce 200,000 tonnes of 6% grade spodumene for export plus at best a further 30,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide monohydrate for export IMO.
In other words, until power improves, AVZ can only produce 6% grade spodumene, especially if it decides on a configuration of 5 mtpa ore feed facility.
