When I saw that SEC had taken positions in both AGI and ISD, I was sceptical to say the least. Both I held (thankfully in small amounts) and had lost on both. That’s the reason they are in small a mounts. Am pleasantly surprised to see a gradual increase in AGI and today a 25% increase in ISD. I doubt that they would have bet the house on these two stocks, and as such they will have a minimal but positive effect on the fund. But it shows their overall analytical skills and depth of research. I wouldn’t have touched them with a barge pole, but sometimes, just sometimes, fund managers may be worth what you pay them. It will be interesting to see what effect these 2 have on the next mothly report for SEC.
