Please find me any where that says % traded on open market is a requirement for something to be called a commodity. An exchange may have this limit for listing but that does not change what it is. Here are several definition all of which REO meets show me what you are referring to. I asked last time you said this you never replied.

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/commodity

    https://www.investopedia.com/terms/c/commodity.asp

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commodity Pay attention to hard Commodity definition.

I will admit that different Commodity exchanges have requirements for a commodity to be listed on the exchange. As far as I know REO or any of the individual elements are not traded on any commodities exchange outside of China! (there may be an exchange with a 15% limit for listing) My company is private corporation registered in Massachusetts. I am required by law to issue stock I am required to file annual reports with the state. Stock is not eligible to be listed anywhere. Does that mean it is not a stock? Again you show your lack of depth by taking a listing requirement and turning it into a requirement for defining a product. What do you think REO is, if not a commodity? Will you answer this time? Probably not.
