There are only 3 Options for Energy Storage, Hydro Dams, Lithium Batteries and 1414 Degrees storage systems.
Each of these have their place, Hydro like the Snowy scheme works great, they have a big dam and the power required is down stream from the Dam so for that place its a good fit. But the Snowy 2 scheme is expected to cost upto $5 Billion to set up. The only problem with Hydro storage is its not compact and cant be set up specific for one Industrial site, or to stabilise Grid supply using renuables in a community enviornment.
Lithium batteries work ok for power storage and can provide a short burst of good power, like the Tesla Battery in South Australia. That Cost $85 Million for its 100MW of storage capacity. The Problem with Lithium batteries is that if they are charged and de-charged daily, they can lose upto 80% of their storage capacity in 3 years. And have costly recycling costs.
1414 Degrees energy storage uses Molten silicon and can use either surplus Gas or power from renuables or surplus power from the grid. And re-supply that as power or Heat or Power and heat. To Industry and grid. The special capacity of 1414 Degrees systems is they can operate fr 25 years without losing any storage capacity. Also with low recyling costs.
Compared to hydro that could be inhibited if the dam levels were low. And Lithium Batteries that lose upto 80% of their storage Capacity in 3 years if they are charged and de-charged daily.
So once the Stock market wakes up and realises there is only 3 energy storage technologies available, and for a large part of that the 1414 degrees technology would be the best fit for many Industry and Grid stability needs. This stock will take off like a rocket IMO.
