Based on PE ratios most stocks are staring to look very keep unlike of course the real estate market. Of course PE ratios are backward looking and we need to be more concerned with what is going to happen in the future.
If the current earnings are to a large extent maintained at the current levels, there is no way stocks will fall another 30%. Of course if earnings start to to a big hits across the board then all bets are off and very large further falls will occur.
But if earnings do take a hit large enough for this to occur it will mean a major economic down turn, and this is going to help property how??????
If large numbers of people are already starting to struggle with their mortgage on their over inflated property puchases, how is an ecomonic down turn not going to make things much worse
