I am not a fan of SPP's if a company is about to embark on a drill program. Because of the time they take they can stifle any appreciation in a company's share price while they are in progress. Just look at what happened to NXM some months ago when they did an spp at the same time they started drilling. Better , if the company needs funds, to do a quick placement to sophisticated investors or a cornerstone investor and have it over and done with in 2 or 3 days
