Yes strange, years ago in KL, 1990s, I met an lean and attractive French girl checking into the delightful Coliseum Hotel. She had just spent months deep in the forest in Kalimantan, studying those lovable big orange apes.

Fresh out of the jungle, we joked that I was the first Orang Puti she'd seen in three months, and it seemed to me her eyes were smoldering with something resembling all consuming lust.

Unfortunately I had just checked out, with a 'plane catch. It's one of those missed opportunities to play Tarzan that one never quite forgets.

But don't tell the Mrs....
