Fascinating article in the Fin Review today. Allow me to quote:
"Investors worldwide are betting almost $US1.5 trillion on a collapse in stock prices. Data compiled by Spitalfields Advisors, the London-based firm specialising in securities lending, shows $US1.4 trillion of equities worldwide are now on loan, about a third higher than at the start of 2007.
Almost all of this is being used to speculate that shares will fall..."
I know a lot of punters have been concerned about the shorts in LGL. This provides a magnitude to the perspective.
