Proper investigation into many such " companies" listed on the ASX would lead to an exodus of speculative money from the market.

It is a classic case of buyer beware!!

Where it becomes ripe for regulation is around the issue of paid research by so called investment companies.

In the case of UTR they were paying to have a glowing report published.

This gave a level of confidence to buyers.

HOWEVER

When UTR stopped paying the research mobs they no longer covered the company.

SO

Now you have 2 problems!

A shonky ASX outfit AND A less than reliable research company!
