"However, attendees at the dairy factor visit were not given to understand that once the head goose became suitably bloated after gorging on unconscionable management and ancillary fees, that it was poetically appropriate the creature's neck be wrung and the foie gras thus liberated might perhaps be returned in some form to the shareholders who had been plucked, fleeced, and milked something stupid by an operating structure which is opportunistic charlatanism at best and outright oppression at worst."
Whilst the underlying assets may eventually come good, companies like BFC and other such schemes under an ARSN (RFF, CGC due to its contracts) should serve as a reminder to investors that when an 'investment manager' comes to you flogging agricultural assets under a structure which is full of jugglery and difficult to understand, then the main thing being farmed is the investor.
