Stumpy if you read their Announcement carefully they are going to try and get their bidders statement in the hands of MEL shareholders well before the time extension to 3 Oct . It is possible that they could have reached 51 % acceptance before the result of the STO / TOTAL FI was known . However if you were a MEL shareholder why would you not wait until after the 3 OCT to decide ?
Trying to get my head around it but failing so far .
