Pretty shallow analysis.
What's far worse for SK is failing to secure sufficient raw materials. The rising Ni price is a measure of predicted scarcity so it's rational for the SK price to rise if the market believes they've managed to secure sufficient supply to power their planned expansion.
They may eat some portion of the price rice but they'll pass on some or all to car manufacturers who will in turn pass on some or all to consumers - the balance of which will be worked out by the market.
