Lol, Frantic! And we DO have pollution! Both, political AND environmental! Tonnes of it.

What I'm puzzled by is the question in people's mind as to whether or not the warming has been a result of human malpractice. I see no difficulty in saying that humans have acted very irresponsibly ever they trod the planet's surface; with very little effect in the beginning but with an ever-increasing pace towards the most recent history, particularly since the dawn of the industrial era.
The burning of coal, the cutting down of forests, the pollution of the air and the waters, might not have such a tremendous impact at first but they surely must have caused an accumulative trauma in time. Surely all this increasing plunder of the earth's resources, this ever-growing, ever more urgent need for power and energy have made some adverse impact and will be making that impact even more traumatic if things go on in the same way.

I do get lost in all the scientific and quasi-scientific and para-scientific data but I do know that the relationship between mortals and their planet is not altogether a healthy one, so I'd rather err on the side of caution and do what little I can to make amends.
