I'm not exactly sure how it all works Feathers, but what about the difference between "friendly" and "hostile".
Sure if it were a cheesy hostile, AC would recommend we REJECT the takeover offer, but it may be challenging to 'sway the masses'.
If they could get the share price down to 35c, then pitch at 70c, at a 100% premium, even a board recommendation via the guru himself may find it difficult to convince enough holders.
