Interesting estimates in Tourism Forecast 2017

“Over a longer 10-year horizon, the average growth rate for outbound travel is forecast to be 3.9%. This will result in outbound departures reaching 14.8 million by 2026–27.Under this future growth scenario, Australia’s top five destinations (in order) will be NZ, Indonesia, the US, Thailand and the UK. outbound travel is forecast to grow more slowly than international arrivals, it is expected that the number of international visitors to Australia will overtake outbound departures in 2026–27.Should this eventuate, this would be a significant shift. The last time inbound arrivals exceeded outbound departures was in 2006–07.”

That said the above predictions are from 2017, with the threat of a trade war (China- US) travel volumes will no doubt change among other global considerations. Could this new focused play in travel reenergize Mint?

That said, how many times will Mint embark on a SPP? I’d like to see a return on the last SPP?
