Does anyone know why CLQ dropped SNC for MCC to be the EPC?
An OEM working on the project says they’re concerned MCC are too green. For instance they specified MOC like 316 which couldn’t survive in a corrosive process. This later upgraded to SAF 2205 but still probably not good enough - should be titanium, 2507 etc.
It was this type of mistake that killed Anaconda Nickel and wounded other laterite nickel projects in WA. What’s the joke - why do they call it Murrin Murrin? Because they built it twice!
