The idea of decoupling from the US is always a good topic.

We have at times in the past, albeit briefly, but it has tended to become a global market.

That suggests markets do imitate the global model but just as markets rotate sectors during a bull or bear that that emphasis will remain, so perhaps markets align more than ever.

It sure is starting to feel like some new financial system is not far away.

History suggests, global arrangements fail, so a new system is set up, that then fails so ad infinitum.

Will that tie markets closer or the opposite.
