Thanks Troopy , Agree with your view but there are a rare few that have their own workers compensation insurance , lot of bricklayers over here will not take out workers comp , only basic insurance, larger teams do have workers comp but 70% over here do not and are covered by the builder . A lot of builders over here are asking their contractors to form a company so they are liable for everything and are made to show their certificate of currency if they wish to continue to work for that builder . All sites have a JSA to be read by every contractor before starting work ! As if that happens , especially with foreign labour who cannot read or speak and that’s on residential ! And God only know how they manage to get onto commercial sites ! Get my drift ?
