Market cap. would not stay at $842m after the placement and share purchase plan. The total cash obtained from these, somewhere around $130m, less costs, needs to be added to the market cap. Whether it be by reduction of debt or increase of cash held, the company is worth that much more in the overall.
The variable is how the cash is used. If it generates profits at equal to or greater than the rest of the market cap. does, then it is a winner and the share price should increase from its previous value. If not, the share price drops.
Mr Market is currently saying it doesn't quite have full confidence in TGR achieving top profits from the money raised. Of course, Mr Market will rerate every day as the money is put to use.
