Are you sure that attitude is not just a way to avoid having a hard look at some of your assumptions ?
Think about it. A Divine being, the Son of God, decides to incarnate as a human.
How could he do that ?
Can you decide to stop being a human ?
Can a dog decide to stop being a dog ?
Even if somehow this was possible, unless he had full amnesia, the temptation of Satan would be meaningless. Why on Earth would offering Worldly kingdoms to the Divine Son of God be a temptation ?
The sacrifice on the cross would be hollow. Jesus' death and example would be hollow. After all he is Divine, a God, sinless, how are his actions applicable to mere mortals ?
His example and mission doesn't make sense unless it is to show what is possible for a man. Not an ordinary man by any means, but a man.
