IMO HAV's non-executive directors and CEO set a bad example in their public broadsides of substantial shareholder, Dr Giles. If that's how they treat him in public, and on camera, what went on behind closed doors?
The reasons for the Takeovers Panel decision will make for interesting reading (guessing it will drop later this month). Particularly if Dr Giles was among the holders in 38.51% of HAV shares that HAV's officers sought to restrain from voting at the EGM. Mathematically, you'd think he was among the defendants. What would any self-respecting shareholder do if someone had sought to deny their right to vote?
Well done Dr Giles for standing up to the bullies.
