There is much in the way of a geography lesson that those touting the sovereign risk associated with SDL should review. The basic ones are as follows

1. Nigeria is on the Northern border of Cameroon and is nearly 100km from SDLs operations accordingly border skirmishes are not of any major concern.

2. The Republic of Congo which borders the SDL operations is a reasonably stable country with no travel warnings on issue by the Australian Consulate.

3. The Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo are different countries.

4. Cameroon is a relatively stable country and has a good football team Samuel Eto is one of their stars and plays his club football for Barcelona FC.

NB point 4 does not relate entirely to Geography but is useful trivia. ....
