The recent increase in daily "Gross shorts" may just be a short term result of the BOTs attempting to slow down the rising price while accumulating.
The Current Position is recorded to be 0.51% on 11th September. Way off the highs of over 1.5%. 0.51% is 3.4m shares - so there are quite a few dollars involved.
But when you look at the Top 100 shorted companies on the ASX
The 100th most shorted company sits at just over 3%, so unsurprisingly, shorting of PNV is not significant.
