Many passive funds will be buying in the closing auction on Friday, in order to change holdings at the same price as the index change.
Some others with more discretion will be buying close to the close, so there will be increasing buying during the day on Friday.
A drop in share price wont cause ISX to drop out of the index in the short term, it is re-evaluated in 6 months time.
