To be fair to you, even though the IPCC never said it, I don't doubt you read somewhere that the IPCC said it. It's just that that would have been either in a Murdoch newspaper or on a conspiracy theory blog. They tend to distort things quite a lot, as it gets their readers hot under the collar and generates sales/clicks.
It's best if you avoid such porky pie sources. If you want to know what the IPCC has said, go straight to the IPCC. If you want to know what scientists have said, go to scientific journals. Don't go to the Daily Telegraph or 'Ice Age Now'.
