thanks for the information - it is a tragic loss of life, made more tragic ( not the right words) by a potential corporate cover up in some ways.
from a supply chain management point of view would the end user, consider not wanting to continue purchase of product to distance themselves from this tragedy and the continued flow on effects .
so in real terms does China - back out of supporting Vale based on them being seen globally as being a non responsible corporate, and then with the vision Chine will move more heavily in supporting other global partners.
Big question is the Immediate impact on supply, the increase on price , and the ability for the other top 3 to bridge the supply gap. Also that China is being seen as a supporter of good corporate governance over companies who have potential poor business practice and cover ups when things go to pot.
Just throwing it out their for debate, knowing China probably does not care to much. But what if they suddenly got a conscious???
