UK just signed off on an additional 6GW wind power spree, of which 5.5GW is offshore [1].
Depending on manufacturer, up to 650kg of permanent magnet per MW, or ~1,100,000 kg of Nd (@30% of PM).
China is currently building 10GW offshore.. [2] (~2 million kg Nd).
Certainly doesn't hurt..
