Also NZ scientists risked going to jail for not producing a report into their data handling practices to the court.
BUT NOTE this is a report they commissioned themselves into their data handling by the Aussie BOM.
A sadder note is that during a recess the trial judge changed his mind from demanding the report be produced OR JAIL into not needing it any more at all.
Can't think of a better explanation that the judge was leant on by powerful forces to not go there.
