I am currently on the side of the believers, i.e. that the recent negative news is predominantly hot air, and the drama of recent days will pass with time. Hence being a holder.... *queue rebuttals and abuse*
If though, for the sake of argument, ISX's 'powers that be' did engage in phantom transactions to ensure themselves a big share performance benefit .. and this is discovered to all be true .. what would the damage actually be?
The collapse of trust in management? Possible proceedings against the bad individuals? An assumption that all the volume we're seeing might be fake?? A full delisting of the stock over a management issue???
Or would the directors lose their entitlements, essentially taking these shares out of the market and having the opposite effect of a dilution? And we would see new management, a period of instability, and ultimately a continuation of the growth of a fundamentally good idea?
Really keen on the thoughts of people smarter than me.
