These are just stories so let's not be too quick to judge the party's involved until something can be substantiated. From all the stories I have read, some have been clever, but none have been anywhere close to the mark once the actual facts come out.

If what you are saying is correct, why would Evraz have bought the stake in the first place? And why would they speculate about the takeover bid weeks out from the meeting? What is the purpose of this? To dump the shares? That isn't clever business IMO, it is just... illegal. They still need FIRB approval so any nonsense like this would not be favourable.

Also, Evraz has stated the resource is being undersold to MCC and CFE should have asked for more. With the decision pending and Evraz already lined up with a 75% stake AND supposedly 40M commission they are going to state the sale is a rip off?

Nothing personal, nothing wrong with some guessing but personally I do not feel the facts support the story.
