You have the lesser of 2 evils here. You either believe that they either, took their placment and had a sudden change of heart on the fundamentals and have sold for an enormous loss. Or they are shorting (whatever you want to call it)the stock in the interim because they knew the REAL timeline for the deals and have capitalised on it.
Sold at a loss (they are too smart imo)or making good trade for themselves. I believe the latter.
But what really matters is when the deals are announced.
