Ruby, I too loved your story, please give us more. Recently I was talking to an acquaintence who travels Australia collecting rocks. He told of a friend whom he visited at Woods Point, apparently if you look straight up the road from the pub it's his house you can see.
Anyway he took him out into his backyard, moved a rock and shoveled out a bit of dirt. When my friend went through it he found 6 small nuggets the size of match heads. He reckons its gold city up there!
I was born at Eildon and later my parents had the cafe at Marysville so I have an emotional attatchment to the area.
