Out of benign interest, do you own or rent?
Are you comparing all of Melbourne, or the inner CBD around South Yarra, Southbank, South Melbourne and the Docklands?
My viewsof property (including where I own property) are well known on this forum. So too are my concerns, and the view (now 2 years old) that Australians are undergoing a fundamental shift towards European styled living - apartments, with more people renting than owning, and where home ownership starts falling (rather than rising).
