We have a sea side house on Leyte Island clacoste and that is why I often travel through Cebu. I have been on a bus trip from the south of Negros to Bacolod City in the north so probably went close to your place. Mactan Island is the nicest part of metro Cebu now that Lapu-Lapu City is connected to Cebu Island by the two huge bridges. Agree with you about Bohol Island...beautiful place. At the north of Cebu Island is a lovely little resort island called Malapasqua where we had an enjoyable stay a few years ago and very cheap. At that time our beachside bungalow cost $15 a night. Nice mix of simple resorts and native village. I have emailed misty with some information. Dave R.
