    pretty much did misty

a lot of the reserves squirreled away by the libs have been gotten at by the alp.

to use the future fund to prop up private industry i.e. the banks, is purely socialism - may as well simply nationalise them.

sure there is no way to predict what would have happened under a liberal regime but traditionally labor have not been good fiscal managers.

see the following for comments on the future fund

and the future fund isnt even being managed in australia - something rudd if he had any sense of national pride would ensure was...but originally you can blame costello for this.

so rudd is going to continue to allow a foreign bank to run our fund.

itll be wasted before you know it. they wont care because they still get a $30 mil fee.

and a transcript of an interview with costello, swan, and peter costello who is or was the general manager.

i could of course be wrong and rudd may have reinstated australian control over the future fund but ive not seen an announcement to that effect.

i think prospertity has well and truly left the building - more soup kitchens and blankets required
