I pretty much agree with that timing sentiment.

I am sure the focus on Kingaroy will deliver Cougar the cudos (and income) of the first delivered successful commercialisation of ucg in Australia.

I am also pretty sure that while Kingaroy is being planned, delivered and commissioned, that simialar ucg electricity generation projects overseas (and possibly here in Australia) will be advanced through assessment, planning and at least pre-development phases to be ready for rollout soon after Kingaroy. Whether rollout can continue as a Cougar "McEnergy" style business will depend on future management vision and geopolitical issues.

Imo, there will be a long lead in time for any GTL application for Cougar's syngas because of a strongly held management belief that there needs to be unequivocal prior demonstration of syngas quality and volume to support the billion dollar funding or attract the billion dollar partners that GTL will require.

Successful ucg gasifier management at Kingaroy will go a long way to demonstrating syngas production suitable for GTL development by Cougar/Ergo at Kingaroy in particular and anywhere in general.

Given the GTL lead in times, there is nothing much stopping Cougar announcing studies into such at Kingaroy (say timed with a significant JORC upgrading?) or with the huge brown coal resource in Victoria's La Trobe Valley imo.

    Food for thought at least.
