Nice posts DS and STW!
STW you have summed up my thoughts nicely - no stop losses, more accumulation, not really that bothered by the managed share price, awaiting the 60 million pre-ordered shares (shorts) to be bought back.
Let’s imagine we are somehow 50 cents tomorrow. So what. Gonna sell out? Why would you when the next handful of years is only looking better and better as time goes on - Just look at how all of the forecasts and committed $$$ and development of battery factories etc has only kept increasing over the past few years. Of course this 50c scenario is “ridiculous” but my point is that like STW notes - if longs were going to bail they’d be gone already! So now it doesn’t really matter what the price does in the short-term... it is only an issue if it won’t ever recover, which is a scenario that no-one has yet been able to reasonably propose and support.
No doubt a lot of short action today, will be interesting to see if the total shorts had increased or whether the daily shorts are trading intraday... is that total figure (15-odd%) telling us the number actually short sold or does it include others being held as possible for short selling but perhaps not actually sold short yet?
I seem to recall there was a lack of clarity about those figures, discussed some time ago, and some mention of it including available shorts but not necessarily all sold ..? Anyone? Thanks
