Hi Bochman
there is by all accounts 4 lakes
xingyuan lake and catchment
2 other lakes much bigger than xingyuan
and the east lake
from the company 23/8
Interest in PET’s China catchment and lake work, along with the recent Chinese Ministry of
Water Resources certification of Phoslock®
, has already led to two major trial invitations on
lakes and catchments projects elsewhere in China. These projects are potentially much larger
than the southern China project. Planning for these trials is underway, with applications
expected to commence in the next three months
this from newing 1/10
In its 23 August update the company alerted us to two further large lake projects, both
much larger than Xingyun, being progressed through the preliminaries leading up to
award of contracts, and these remain pending. It would seem from the wording today
that these could be in the same area as Donghu Lake. As PET said today, the Wuhan
City’s lakes area is vast, with 68 lakes larger than 1km2
, most of which have very poor
water quality. And a perusal of Google Maps (see picture overpage) shows that outside
the city limits there are a number of lakes much larger than Donghu, all green with
algae.
• But I am told that these two additional projects are not even in Hubei province
they have named 2 lakes but not the other two
thanks
