Fully agree and I note on the ASX that share sold short is on the increase.
With regard to the price for Atlantic I did a quick calc based on the 15th May Announcement.
1.9mil oz reserves
AUD 768m purchase
That equates to ~AUD404 /oz
Plus AISC of ~AUD 771 / oz
That gives them a cost of AUD 1175 / oz
Given the current price of gold at ~AUD 2150 it looks a good deal to me. Very simplistic calc I admit with so many variables to be worked through. If they could make nearly AUD 1000 / oz on whatever the production level is going to be then everyone but the shorts should be happy.
Maths wasn't my strongest suit so someone can no doubt tell me where I have gone wrong
