...I would say GE is very active at the moment. I kind of agree with the point about IGCC. There is a book called " The Solar Fraud" it talked about why you can't run the world by using solar energy. Until one day we can solve all those technical issues with solar energy (which I don't think will be soon), carbon/nuclear form energy will be our only choice for base power and since we can't use nuclear in Australia, carbon is the only way to go and if we want to make it clean & cheap & quick....well, UCG+IGCC would your ultimate choice:)
