SFG produces high-quality cultured shrimp based in Queensland in the country, which is said to have strict environmental standards and high barriers to shrimp farming, accounting for over 1/3 of the country's cultured shrimp production. It is.

The “sacred shrimp” that Nissui carries in this time is a product produced by the company at a farm in the state.

With the investment of Nissui, SFG has started construction of a large-scale shrimp farm in the Northern Territory since 2018.Project Sea Dragon Pty Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SFG, is responsible for producing 5,000 tons of black tiger in FY2021 (first year). The Nissui Group plans to sell this exclusively in Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and to sell related products globally through the sales networks of Nissui Group companies.

In the mid-term management plan “MVIP + (plus) 2020” (FY2018-2020), which Nissui is currently working on, we are working to expand the shrimp business to become the main business after white fish, salmon and trout. In particular, one of the issues in the fishery business is “advancement of aquaculture business”, and we are focusing on the commercialization test of land-cultivated banamei in Japan and SFG's black tiger aquaculture business overseas.
