In the investor call Rohan highlighted that for retinal diseases there are 3D human retina model organoid models or “retina in a dish”. Lions are growing them at present and early organoid results will be out this quarter. Older more conclusive organoid results next quarter. He highlighted that the organoids have been grown from cells of patents that will participate in the later clinical trials. IMO considering the drug is injected into the human eye in the later clinical trials with little to no effect outside the eye, these organoid models are a very strong proof of clinical success.
