As i said, if you pick up the wrong rock at Kvanefjeld and then put you fingers in your mouth the NaF could kill you. That is correct.

The Sodium Fluoride in Kvanefjeld is Villiamite. Somone said It is found in S Greenland. Actually it is only found at Kvanefjeld and somewhere in Russia.

The Villiamite in Kvanefjeld goes at between 2% and 5% in the tenement. That translates to a level of between 20,000ppm and 50,000 ppm. At those levels holding a rock in your hand and then licking your fingers will kill you.

Is NaF used in toothpaste, yes it is. It is used at 1 part per million. At 10 parts per million it turns teeth brown. At 100 parts per million in water ingested into the stomach, it will kill you. if it is made into dust at that level and is ingested into your lungs it will also kill.

Again, the Villiamite in Kvanefjeld runs between 2% and 5% which translates to NaF at between 20,000 and at least 50,000 ppm. In either case, if it gets in the water and is ingested it will kill whatever human or animal that ingests it in the stomach,If it becomes dust and is ingested, any human or animal that does so will be killed.

So there is your Kvanefjeld Geology and Chemistry lesson for the evening. And again, this all happened in Iceland from a volcanic eruption breaking the Sodium Fluoride loose and spreading through the air. Google it, you will see, it killed about 1/3 of everything living in Iceland.
