Well if you accept that they've been working against Tesla And if you accept that Tesla have major innovations protected by patent Then if Tesla did go bust (by whatever means) which was the basis for my conditional comment, is it so bizarre that they would use those patents to stifle adoption/progress rather than fully develop them in support of the electric vehicle industry?
There's plenty of precedent for this in the internet browser (Microsoft, Google) and mobile phone industries (apple, Samsung, Motorola).
You keep expressing surprise but if Tesla went down I'd say that other electric vehicle manufacturers would love their patents TO USE but legacy manufacturers would probably get them and then largely sit on them and litigate. No? Sure about that?
