Akcea trials antisense drugs that were spun off by Ionis. Trials were promising and the company now has a market cap of 1.7 billion.
Pfizer will pay $250 million lisencing fees, milestone payments of up to $1.3billion, royalty fees on sales and take over the remaing trials.
Akcea and Ionis to share the proceeds.
