I put larger recycling household refuse in the council recycle bin but haven’t bothered to follow up as to whether any of it gets recycled.
Often I can’t be bothered washing out empty steel food cans and just chuck them in the general refuse.
I often get large hardware items sent to the council tip and don’t bother researching if any of this is recycled.
Other potentially useable or repairable things such as useable home furniture and books, non-working mechanical and electronic items, I donate or sell.
